Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren from 90 Day Fiancé became a fan-favorite duo despite their distinct personalities, but Yara occasionally angered viewers with some of her actions. 90 Day Fiancé's Yara and Jovi first appeared on season 8. Jovi, 31, had more of a wild personality, and he would regularly stay out late and hang out at strip clubs. 27-year-old Yara, on the other hand, considers herself more of a «grandma inside.»
The couple have many differences and Yara disliked Jovi's ROV (remotely operated vehicle) career, which left her alone for months at a time. However, the two still married in Las Vegas, with 44 days left on Yara's visa. After they married, Jovi left for his job, while Yara was also pregnant with their daughter. Though Jovi was able to be in the U.S. for the birth of the couple's daughter Mylah, he had to leave soon after. Thankfully, Yara had Jovi's mom, Gwen Dufren, to help her, as she struggled with raising Mylah alone in a new country that was consumed by a pandemic.

Mylah was seven months old by the time Jovi came back and it was clear that Yara and Mylah were very attached. As a first-time parent, Yara struggled with finding the balance between the laid-back mom and the overbearing mom. This caused several rifts with Jovi and Gwen. Although some of Yara's antics were understandable to an extent, sometimes she took it too far, thus angering viewers with her escapades.
