What Breaking Bad Spinoff Shows Could Happen Next? Producer Responds
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul producer Peter Gould says that it's possible for more stories set in the universe and even dropped the names of some characters he thinks could be further explored. Gould began as a writer on Breaking Bad and would go on to become a producer for the final three seasons. After the show ended, he co-created Better Call Saul with Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, acting as executive producer and showrunner on the Bob Odenkirk-starring spinoff, which is currently in its sixth and final season.
Better Call Saul may be a spinoff, but it's been equally as celebrated as the show that spawned it. Breaking Bad devotees were able to see the backstories of some of that show's classic characters explored in the prequel series, including the likes of Mike Ehrmantraut (Johnathon Banks), Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), and Hank Schrader (Dean Norris). Even Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul will be reprising their roles of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman before Saul ends in August. So what's next for the Breaking Bad universe?

While speaking to Metro, Gould was asked about the possibility of additional stories set in the same world as the previous two shows. "Every single one of these characters could have a whole show," he said. "There’s no question. I mean, Kim Wexler, Mike Ehrmantraut, Hank Schrader." He seemed especially interested in the idea of more stories surrounding Walter White's DEA agent brother-in-law. "I could see the Hank Shrader show, absolutely."
Gould isn't alone in teasing the possibility of future stories set in the world of Breaking Bad. AMC Studios head Dan McDermott recently said that the "door is always open"
