In a new look at Marvel Comics upcoming Hellfire Gala hosted by the X-Men, Rogue gets a high-fashion costume that teases just how dangerous her powers really are. Artist Mahmud Asrar shared his design for the mighty mutant, who will sport an outfit that covers up her body, but makes it very visible at the same time.
The X-Men's Hellfire Gala brings the Marvel Universe to Krakoa, as some of the most familiar non-mutants, heroes, and celebrities included, make the trip to the living island to celebrate mutant culture in an evening of high fashion. The guests ranged from Marvel Comics heroes from Avengers to the Fantastic Four to real-life figures such as rapper Eminem, comedian Conan O'Brien, and the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige. The main event in the Hellfire Gala is the fashion, where mutants, such as Emma Frost, Scarlet Witch, and Cyclops, have stunned with their new costumes. In a closer look at Rogue's upcoming outfit, the hero's powers take center stage as the main inspiration behind the ensemble.

On his Twitter account, artist Mahmud Asrar shared his design for the X-Men Rogue for the upcoming Hellfire Gala. In describing what inspired the design, Asrar said his idea was to have her body covered up entirely yet still visible at the same time. Considering Rogue's mutant powers, which allow her to absorb memories, powers, abilities, and other characteristics simply through skin contact, the costume shows how dangerous she can be. The see-through elements are a nice nod to her abilities while fitting the high-fashion themes of the upcoming event.
