Warning! Spoilers ahead for Morbius.
Morbius has hit theaters and revealed several moments from the trailers have been cut, including some of the biggest Spider-Man Easter eggs and teases. Starring Jared Leto as the titular Dr. Michael Morbius, the film was marketed as the birth of a new Marvel legend within Sony's Spider-Man Universe (and the greater multiverse that includes the MCU). However, almost all of those connections were cut, including several other key moments featured in the trailers.
Born with a rare blood disorder, Michael Morbius dedicated his life to finding a cure for himself, his friend Milo (played by Matt Smith), and anyone else suffering from their condition. Resorting to more dangerous and unconventional methods, Morbius focused on vampire bats and their ability to break down blood during consumption. Fashioning a serum by combing bat DNA with that of humans, he tested the «cure» on himself. While it seemingly worked and even gave him powers, the hunger for blood and vampiric transformations made the cure a dark curse. However, it did turn Morbius into a sort of anti-hero going forward, just like in Marvel comics.

That said, several moments that would have connected Morbius to the rest of the Spider-Man movies as seen in the trailers were nowhere to be found in the actual film itself. Several exciting Easter eggs were cut, and even entire scenes which were hinted at were removed as well.
