Season 3 of Superman & Lois is officially a go at The CW. Premiering in January 2021, Superman & Lois follows the titular characters as they raise their twin sons, Jonathan and Jordan Kent, in Clark's hometown of Smallville after Martha Kent has passed away. Throughout the course of the show, various elements of the Superman mythos, like the character of Steel, Maxwell Lord, and Bizzaro have been brought into the series.
Superman & Lois was popular when it first aired and was quickly picked up for season 2, which began airing in January 2022. It stood apart from other series in the Arrowverse with a different visual style and being a more standalone story, making a new jumping-on point for viewers who did not see prior shows. The show's popularity and the lack of any news of a Superman movie at Warner Bros. seemed to indicate Superman and Lois would get a season 3 order soon.

Now, The Wrap has confirmed The CW has officially renewed Superman & Lois for season 3, alongside renewals for other CW series, like The Flash, Riverdale, All American, Kung-Fu, Walker, andNancy Drew. There's been no word on when season 3 will air, but it seems safe to say it will be January 2023 as both previous seasons have aired in the mid-season for The CW. The series will likely consist of 13 episodes as both prior seasons were also.
The news of the renewal also comes on the day season 2, episode 8 will premiere on The CW after the series took a two-week break. It is also worth noting Superman & Lois and The Flash have been renewed, but other CW Arrowverse series like Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman have not.
