He also mentions that Guerrilla Games can tap into the rich, extensive backstory to create new mysteries and storylines. Like Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West ends on a cliffhanger, and Mathijs confirms that the team is using the ending sequence to set up things for the next game.
Horizon is a massively successful franchise, with Horizon Zero Dawn selling over 20 million copies on PS4 and PC.
