Caution: Spoilers Ahead for Superman & Lois season 2.
Superman & Lois pulled a big twist by revealing the villain of season 2 as Bizarro, but this was hinted at in the season premiere. Continuing from where season 1 left off, Superman & Lois season 2 made major teases of the arrival of Doomsday. All of it began with an unseen presence in the mines of Metropolis causing tremors, as it punched its way to the planet's surface.
Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) also began experiencing headache-inducing visions connected to the mysterious underground force. When the powerful antagonist finally emerged, it was completely encased in a green suit identical to that of Doomsday's in the comics. However, just as it seemed Doomsday had been confirmed, a tear in the mask revealed Kal-El's own distorted face behind it. The episode concluded with the full reveal of the villain as Bizarro rather than Doomsday, but despite the teases of the Kryptonian beast, one quietly pointed in the direction of Bizarro all along.

In season 2's premiere episode «What Lies Beneath», Superman finds himself at odds with Lieutenant General Mitch Anderson (Ian Bohen), who wants him to serve U.S. interests before the rest of the world. At the end of the episode, Superman learns that Anderson has assembled a team of metahumans to fill that role. Not only that, but Anderson's team wear uniforms bearing Superman's S-shield. This was a subtle but early hint to the arrival of Bizarro.
