Capcom has revealed the second DLC character for Street Fighter 6 at EVO 2023, with AKI set to be the 20th fighter in the game when she’s released in autumn 2023.
AKI is “A maniacal poison aficionado, A.K.I. can’t wait to sink her nails into her opponents,” from the trailer blurb. There’s a real horror vibe to AKI’s teaser trailer, as the stock World Tour character meets her on the street and is then enveloped in her sadistic personality and obsession with poisons.
AKI will be found within the World Tour, Battle Hub and Fighting Grounds when she comes out later this year. She follows on from the returning character Rashid, who arrived as the first DLC fighter at the end of last month.
Also announced at EVO 2023 was a Street Fighter 6 collaboration with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, kicking off this week on 8th August.
Street Fighter 6 launched in June to universal praise, setting a new benchmark for fighting games. In our review, Nick said, “Street Fighter 6 doesn’t need recommending to hardcore fighting fans – you all already know how incredible it is – but do I recommend it for more casual players? Street Fighter 6 has a real sense of community, welcoming all players old and new, teaching new tricks and providing something for those that just want a bit of fun. This is truly a fighting game for everyone.”
Street Fighter 6 is out now across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PC.
