had a big Evo. Aside from having the last grand finals match, Capcom showed more of its next DLC character, A.K.I. She was already announced, but the second reveal of the night was a complete surprise, as the company stated that the are crossing over with Street Fighter 6.
The crossover is happening quite soon, too, as it is set to begin on August 8. Players will be able to unlock gear, emotes, titles, stamps, in-game device wallpapers, camera frames in Photo Mode, and the ability to turn their custom fighter used in World Tour and the Battle Hub into any of the four turtles.
This gear can been seen in the trailer, but it’s unclear how much it will all be or what will be tied to Drive Tickets (the currency players can earn in the game) or Fighter Coins (the premium currency). It also doesn’t seem to be tied to a battle pass, since the Street Fighter 6’s current battle pass that revolves around the franchise’s 36th anniversary doesn’t end until August 21.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have crossed over with Street Fighter before in a recent comic, but they have also made their way into a few other gaming series, like the skateboarding title Session and now-shuttered dodgeball game Knockout City. Shredder was also in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2. The four turtles were even playable fighters in Injustice 2, as well, so this TMNT Street Fighter 6 crossover isn’t even their first foray into the fighting game genre.
