Fan favorite villains from the animated series Static Shockhave finally made their comic book debut in the latest issue of Static: Season One. Previously establishing the existence of villainous meta-human villains with Hotstreak, Virgil Hawkins will go up against a team of bang babies in the first season's upcoming finale.
Many Milestone fans were introduced to the Dakotaverse through the DC Animated Universe’s Static Shock. However, a lot of the villains who appeared in the show had been created specifically for the series. Although Static has appeared in comics after the animated iteration aired, most of his rogues gallery that viewers knew have never popped up on the page. As Milestone returns with DC Comics, a new take on Static has seen creative influence from the series, with recognizable villains appearing in Static: Season One #5, written by Ayala Vita with art by Nikolas Draper-Ivey.

While teenager Virgil Hawkins is officially becoming the electrifying superhero Static, he is encountering villains from Static Shock including Talon, Shiv, D-Struct, Puff, and Onyx. A snake meta-human from the series also appears to be a part of the gang, which is a combination of “the Meta Men” and the Meta-Breed. Revealing themselves to be a part of Agent Jones’ battalion, they are quick to fight the new hero. Puff tells Static they were paid to use their powers, saying,“Agent Jones promised us a sack fulla cash, and we’re not gonna let you mess that up!”
