A Fallout: New Vegas fan-made mod entitled Fallout: Nuevo Mexico has received its first official trailer, which teases a massive expansion packed with plenty to explore. The creative team behind the Fallout: New Vegas mod originally announced its New Mexico-set expansion in May 2021, complete with a cinematic teaser trailer framed around an urgent news broadcast and someone's mysterious death.
Well over a decade after Fallout: New Vegas' October 2010 release on PC and seventh-generation consoles, players continue to flock back to the classic experience. This is thanks in large part to the impressive PC mods that go live every so often. One relatively recent mod, for instance, added several drivable vehicles to the mix, along with more than 100 new weapons and 35-plus hours of extra content. Another fan-made creation by a modder named PushTheWinButton managed to restore previously cut NPCs in Fallout: New Vegas' open-world setting. Of course, the Fallout faithful remain eager to try out a few other noteworthy mods as well, some of which first made the rounds in 2021.

Over the weekend, as spotted by Wccftech, the Fallout: Nuevo Mexico YouTube channel released its first official trailer for the previously announced mod. The five-minute video doesn't offer launch details but features a closer glimpse at what the expansion will provide in terms of gameplay. Set in the post-apocalyptic wastelands of New Mexico and Old Mexico, the Nuevo Mexico mod for Fallout: New Vegas takes place in 2285 and packs in multiple «fully fleshed out» factions, new locales, over three additional Companions, and an RPG experience inspired by the original Fallout and Fallout 2.
