After years of development--and a few delays--Bethesda's Starfield is finally dropping out of hyperspace and into a September 6 release date. Easily one of the biggest game releases of the year, Starfield combines space exploration with high levels of customization to create an intriguing adventure in space. Preorders for the game are now open, and at Green Man Gaming, you can grab a big discount on the Steam version and some handy bonus gear.
You can get the $70 standard edition of Starfield for just $56 at Green Man Gaming by signing up for the free GMG XP rewards program. This version includes the base game and the Old Mars Skin Pack, which will dress you up in some Martian mining gear such as the Deep Mining Helmet, Deep Mining Pack, and equips you with a laser cutter.
The premium edition of Starfield has been marked down from $100 to $80 at Green Man Gaming. In addition to the Old Mars Skin Pack preorder bonus, you'll also get up to five days of early access, a digital art book and soundtrack, the Shattered Space expansion story when it releases, and the Constellation Skin Pack, which adds the Equinox laser rifle, spacesuit, helmet and boost pack to your inventory.
It's worth noting that Starfield is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so you can buy one copy from the Xbox Store to play on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Game Pass subscribers will also have access to the game on both platforms at launch. That said, if you want the Steam version, this is an excellent deal.
