Starfield's outpost-building mechanics aren't particularly popular among fans, and that's mainly down to how scaled back construction feels in comparison to other Bethesda titles like Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. That doesn't mean they aren't capable of building some truly impressive creations though, as showcased by one Starfield player who has managed to build an absolutely gigantic factory.
First shared to the Starfield subreddit by u/Hackoox, they reveal several images of their massive factory that they built entirely with the game's outpost-building tools. In the description of the Reddit post, u/Hackoox reveals that this build took over 100 hours of grit and dedication, and that it's not even finished yet either, as they call the build a "work in progress".

It's an impressive build, and I'm sure you're wondering how u/Hackoox has managed to find such a large flat surface to erect their factory, given that the majority of Starfield's planets are rockier than the Himalayas. If you look closely, you'll notice that u/Hackoox has actually created a flat base by sticking over 3,000 floor mats together, which goes some way in explaining why this outpost took them over 100 hours to make.
For all of you hating on outposts, this is what 100+ hours and dedication gets you. I present to you my factory, still work in progress.

In order to actually place down all of these floor mats, u/Hackoox used a mod to remove the game's build limit, which means you won't be able to create just as impressive of an outpost unless you do the same. Bethesda implements build limits into its games with building mechanics to ensure you don't
