Embers Adrift has a recap of what the Stormhaven team has added and patched in September. The monthly update includes a series of changes, new features, technical improvements, and additional content.
This month, the Embers Adrift team has added a series of technical improvements that should help performance as well as the player experience. they've upgraded to the latest Unity 2021 minor revision that should enhance performance and fix a few bugs. a different bug they fixed was causing random CPU spikes for Mac users and that is also fixed. A number of other fixes applied to NPC behavior, crossbows and longbows, and animation bugs.
The team also made several player experience and UI improvements. For example, there are enhanced tool tips, some new descriptions, and improved role icons to better differentiate and see information quickly. Helpful changes along these lines include subzone identification tech that will give more info about locations within various zones. This includes better sorting for /who results, including characters’ names, levels, role, zone or subzone, and guild information in the results. The aforementioned addition of role icons make distinction at a glance easier.
Design changes mean that Feared mobs move more slowly, Ashen Bears, mob behavior, and Drolsc’s “Fatal Blow” all get tweaks. Rats nests and ant hills also get improvements, with visual changes to come.
«Dreadfoe's Revenge” is anewly added quest this month. You'll now also be able to dye cloth shirts, pants, and gloves using the crafting dyes and patterns that have been added.
