Star Wars: The Old Republic has released update 7.4B, which mainly adds a series of fixes to December’s Chains in the Dark missions, additional fixes, a series of HUD updates and improvements, and more player experience tweaks.
Some of the important fixes to the Chains in the Dark update include fixing some bugs that could get some players stuck, and restoring an option to contact Jonas that was missing for Saboteur players. These are fixes to some sloppy bugs that left certain NPCs away from their intended reactions, let you slip through force fields, and left an NPC on the ship floor after they had left. Now that person will actually have left, the Mouse Droid Puzzle cell won’t let you enter if there’s a force field, and the Prison Warden will walk over as intended.
Similarly, updates to the Kessan’s Landing Daily Area also update the weekly Ord Mantell to include Heroic +2 Volcanic Disruption and will reset the mission for all who have it active.
A series of map and GTN updates should improve the experience. The HUD map should now show the world map and not the local map for area travel, and display correct notes when you travel to a new area. Quick travel map notes will now show as locked when you haven’t discovered them yet. Trading updates range from clarified sale duration times to additional alerts for timing and expiration. Conveniently, search results in the GTN will show as disabled/unavailable if you can’t use them. This is a useful change. Overall, these changes are more player-friendly.
Finally, if you have HK-51 as a companion and have customized yours, now that customized version will be what appears in cinematics.
