Warning! Spoilers ahead for Han Solo & Chewbacca #3
As seen in the new Han Solo & Chewbacca series, Star Wars is revealing why Greedo hated the infamous smuggler so much. While both of them were in the employ of Jabba the Hutt, Greedo was more than happy to bring Solo in for the debts he owed their boss. Now, it's being shown in this new series that the green-skinned Rodian had quite the personal vendetta against Han Solo who double-crossed him on a past job.
In previous issues of Han Solo & Chewbacca from Marc Guggenheim and David Messina, Jabba the Hutt wished to own an urn containing the ashes of one of his biggest rivals. Having received a lead on the urn's whereabouts, Greedo was instructed by Jabba to join Han and Chewie aboard the Millennium Falcon to retrieve it. While they agreed to work with one another, it's made quite clear from the very first issue that neither Han nor Greedo liked each other.

However, Han intentionally takes off without Greedo so he doesn't have to split the reward money with the Rodian.
