Star Wars Outlaws has got an extended gameplay during Ubisoft Forward. The footage starts with Kay Vess playing an arcade game, showing one of the minigames you will be able to play. The footage then quickly moves to Elusive Experts, people that are scattered across the galaxy that can teach you new skills.
Soon, after Kay takes off into space and quickly gets embroiled in a space fight against some pirates that are attempting to take down a Pyke freighter. This optional event has allowed Kay’s reputation with the Pykes to improve, as well as earn some credits. From this fight, Kay moves to Tatooine, the heart of Hutt territory. Mos Eisley has a lot of opportunities to make credits and make a name for yourself, including working for the Hutts and some gambling. There is a large presence of Imperial troops, so you will need to be aware of them. As your reputation and wanted level increases, the Empire will send ever increasing enemies after you. This will start with basic Stormtroopers, to TIE Fighters flying in, and Death Troopers being sent after Kay.
Kay leaves Mos Eisley to go to a storehouse out in the wilds to find one of the experts. The storehouse is heavily protected, but a scanner allows you to pick out enemies and plan a route in. Kay’s companion Nix can be used to attack enemies and scout out areas to see if there are more enemies around. During this mission, an alert does come up saying that the Hutt reputation is going down due to trespassing in their storehouse. Kay and Nix are soon found and a blaster battle ensues. The combat looks simple enough, with Kay able to switch firing modes while moving. She makes her escape on a small speeder to find her target. One of the blaster skills that Kay can learn is to mark multiple enemies, and fire at each one quickly.
Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
