A Star Wars: KOTOR Remake was announced back in 2021, alongside a new trailer with some pretty impressive, and clearly updated, visuals. Since then, we've not heard all that much, though for now the project is presumed to still be in development.
Set 4,000 years before George Lucas' Star Wars movies, this RPG will see you fight against a menacing Dark Lord named Darth Malak, who is warring with the Galactic Republic. From what we've heard so far, the remake will stay true to the original story.

A Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake release date hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, we don’t expect to get another look at this Star Wars RPG any time soon. The first developer Aspyr confirmed that the game was still in early development before its parent company Saber Interactive took over, so it seems unlikely to launch for a few more years.
The KOTOR Remake will launch on PC and as a timed console exclusive on PS5. That means it will likely come to Xbox Series X|S after a short while, though an Xbox release date or window hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake was officially announced at the PlayStation Showcase 2021, with a brief teaser trailer. The trailer, seen below, has the voice of Bastilla Shan, one of the recruitable characters in the original title and shows off a pivotal character, Darth Revan.
