The Sith Order was destroyed at the end of the Skywalker Saga, but the dark side will survive into a hypothetical Star Wars 10, as could the Sith, though not the Sith Order. Sith Lords are the primary antagonists throughout the Star Wars franchise, and while they survived Palpatine’s final death in Legends, they were definitively destroyed at the end of canon’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. While Rey’s victory over the Sith Order should be preserved in a hypothetical fourth trilogy, the dark side cannot be destroyed, and a different sort of Sith can take the place of the Sith and the Knights of Ren.
The Rise of Skywalker revealed that Palpatine returned from the dead after Return of the Jedi and was the brains behind the First Order that destroyed the New Republic in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. As the galaxy’s last Sith Lord, Palpatine fought against former Knights of Ren leader Ben Solo and his granddaughter Rey, who became a Jedi. Rey proved victorious over her grandfather, and with Palpatine’s final death, the Sith Order died as well. While the Sith Order and the Knights of Ren are gone, however, another dark side organization will inevitably take their place and menace the galaxy once more.

If there is a new Star Wars trilogy as rumors have suggested, Rey and her inevitable new generation of Jedi will likely face off against a new dark side threat, and there’s a form of Sith that can replace the defunct Sith Order.
