PlayStation's most recent State of Play, a regularly occurring series of presentations on upcoming games and hardware, aired on March 9, 2022 and delivered roughly 20 minutes of reveals. The presentation came after State of Play rumors circulated in the week prior, and was announced only a day before the livestream was set to premier. The announcement sparked hope in more news concerning God of War Ragnarök, the biggest PlayStation exclusive still on the way, but it failed to appear and fans will have to continue waiting for a release date.
As promised, Sony delivered a relatively short presentation for the March 2020 State of Play that was mostly focused on developers based in Japan. Many have been hoping for more news on PlayStation VR 2, which has been getting revealed piecemeal over the course of months — first the new Sense controllers, and recently the headset. Sony got out ahead of the PSVR 2 excitement by preemptively letting fans know that the upcoming hardware would not be making an appearance at the State of Play.

PlayStation's first State of Play in 2022 was all about Gran Turismo 7 and its many cars, but this most recent one brought a wider variety of titles. While Japanese development teams certainly dominated the line-up, there were exceptions like Housemarque and Passion Republic Games. Brand new announcements include a collection of classic TMNT games and a remaster of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle.
