Backbone One – PlayStation Edition, an officially licensed controller for playing games on mobiles, is now available for Android.
Like the iPhone version which launched last year, it’s inspired by the look and feel of PS5‘s DualSense wireless controller and is priced at $99.99 / £99.99.
Backbone One – PlayStation Edition is powered by the user’s phone, meaning separate charging isn’t required, and it can connect directly to PS5’s Pulse 3D headset via its 3.5mm headphone jack.
It can be used to play PS4 and PS5 games streamed via Remote Play, as well as other game streaming services that support controllers.
Backbone One – PlayStation Edition works with Google Play and App Store titles, including games like Call of Duty: Mobile, Fortnite and Diablo Immortal.
Sony will hold a PlayStation Showcase this Wednesday, May 24 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST.
“The show will run a bit over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world,” the company said.
“Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators.”
