Magic: The Gathering's One Ring Card Bounty Now Up To $1 Million
If you're a Magic: The Gathering fan, then you've probably been keeping track of the slightly ridiculous situation regarding The One Ring card that's part of the Tales of Midde-Earth crossover set launching on June 23 later this month. It's a one of a kind card that's only being printed once in an attempt to mirror the iconic One Ring from the actual movies. As you can imagine, this makes it extremely valuable.
Ever since the card was revealed, avid collectors have been duking it out in a pre-release bidding war, putting bounties on the card so that no matter who ends up pulling it, there's a lucrative offer already on the table. These bounties have been pretty massive so far, usually ranging within the 100k - 200k region, with the highest being a bounty from NFL player Cassius Marsh Sr. who's offering up $500,000 and a flight to California.

That's a lot of money for one card, but not as much cash that TCG company Dave and Adam's has now put on the table, doubling Marsh Sr.'s offer with a whopping $1 million bounty. The company announced the bounty via its official Twitter account earlier today, blowing the previous highest bid completely out of the water. Not only that, but the bounty also expires on July 17, likely in an attempt to put some pressure on the fortunate/unfortunate soul that does end up pulling the One Ring.
With this bounty, it's now pretty much confirmed that The One Ring will end up becoming Magic: The Gathering's most valuable card ever, with the previous record being held by a Black Lotus that was sold at auction earlier this year for a record-breaking $540,000. Many are expecting this card to auction for well over $1
