Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced September 2023’s PlayStation Plus Essential games.
Confirming a recent leak, next month’s first batch of PlayStation Plus titles will include Volition’s Saints Row (PS5, PS4) reboot, which was released for consoles and PC in August 2022.
September other PlayStation Plus Essential games will be Black Desert – Traveler Edition (PS4) and Generation Zero (PS4).
PlayStation Plus subscribers have until September 4 to claim August’s Essential games. They include PGA Tour 2K23 (PS5, PS4), Dreams (PS4) and Death’s Door (PS5, PS4).
Next month’s Essential games were announced alongside plans to increase PlayStation Plus subscription prices by up to 35%.
From September 6, the cost of 12-month subscription plans for the service’s Essential, Extra and Premium tiers will rise, with the price going up by $20-$40 / £10-£20 / €12-€32 depending on the chosen membership plan.
“This price adjustment will enable us to continue bringing high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription service,” said Adam Michel, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s director of content acquisition and operations.
For existing 12-month members, the price increases won’t take effect until after their next renewal date that takes place on or after November 6, unless they make subscription changes like upgrades or downgrades in the meantime.
