Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Trailer: Dr. Eggman Attacks With A Giant Robot
A new Sonic the Hedgehog 2 trailer arrives showing Dr. Eggman attacking the titular hero with a giant robot in the upcoming movie sequel. Jim Carrey is back as Doctor Ivo «Eggman» Robotnik, the mad scientist and Sonic's archenemy who was trapped on the mushroom planet at the end of the first film. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 sees Eggman escape the planet with the help of Knuckles the Echidna and return to Earth to get revenge on the blue speedster and discover the location of the powerful Master Emerald.
Alongside Carrey, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 sees the returns of Ben Schwartz as the titular hero, James Marsden and Tika Sumpter as his human friends Tom and Maddie Wachowski, Natasha Rothwell, Lee Madjoub, Adam Pally and Colleen O'Shaughnessey as Miles «Tails» Prower after her post-credits cameo in the first film. The sequel will also mark the franchise introductions of Idris Elba as Knuckles and Criminal Minds and SWAT alum Shemar Moore in an undisclosed role. With just over a month remaining until the film's release, Paramount is looking to keep anticipation high for Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

As part of the Super Bowl, Paramount Pictures unveiled a new Sonic the Hedgehog 2 trailer. Flipping a coin between heads and Tails akin to the football game's opening coin toss, the video sees the coin land on Eggman's head and features footage focused on the iconic villain, including new looks at Eggman's giant robot.
