The Game Awards was pretty good this year, wasn’t it? I think they got a pretty good balance of awards, time for speeches, muppet-filled interludes and (of course) plenty of big announcements to get your gaming juices flowing.
With that in mind, let’s dive in and see all the biggest announcements from the TGAs, Day of the Devs, and plenty more besides.
We had a small batch of games in review this week, with some real highs and lows amongst them.
We also had a high-end gaming headset
Aside from this, it was the 20th anniversary of the PSP launch (right around the 30th anniversary of PlayStation in general), and Dom looked back on what was once a bleeding edge gaming handheld.
Elsewhere, Jim delved into Warhammer 40,000: Darktide for its PS5 launch, and Aran checked out the early access launch of Overthrown. I shared a little more about Wargaming’s new game Steel Hunters, and interviewed the solo dev behind the cosy rocket factory game Little Rocket Lab.
Rounding things out as always, What We Played featured Indiana Jones, Space Marine 2 and watching The Game Awards.
Watch the Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet announcement
Check out the new trailer for Borderlands 4
Mafia: The Old Country has a very cinematic trailer
Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy from the writers of Tales of the Borderlands
Ultimate Sheep Raccoon is a bike racing sequel to Ultimate Chicken Horse
That’s the round up for this week. Hope you have a great weekend ahead!
