With 'srecently released Feybreak update, there is a ton of new content to explore. Included in the update are new Pals, additional and updated mechanics, new weapons, raids, buildings, and even tower bosses. The addition of the new Feybreak territory to the Sakurajima area has added a ton of new materials to farm as well, including Chromite, as this island is about six times as large as the originally released area. There are many new facets of the game to explore, especially when it comes to obtaining new items for building bases and upgrading Pals.
With the additional consumables, items, and materials now in Palworld – which can also be harder with the new hardcore mode – there are a number of ways to use some of the more valuable items available. As an additional item, metal detectors have been added to the game that allow players to find seams of metal that are buried underground on certain islands. Chromite is one of the key metals found within Feybreak.
Chromite is one of the newest farmable materials in. One caveat of this specific metal is that it requires players to be over Level 56 to be able to use the Metal Detector. The Metal Detector allows you to find hidden ores nearby and marks the metal when you move close to the underground ore. This can be unlocked in the Technology Screen. A node will appear whenever you come across one in a puff of grayish smoke, and up to 90 pieces of Chromite can be mined per node.
Palworld celebrates both the holiday season and the release of the Feybreak expansion by giving out free Christmas skins for all players.
You can also use the new canine Pal, Smokie, who can detect and mine Chromite for you. The best places to find Chromite are within the caves on Feybreak Island and if you have your Pal out of its Pal Sphere in passive mode, you can get up to 400 Chromite per node instead. Getting Chromite as a reward from the new NPC, the Arrogant Pal Critic, is also possible.
