Something for the Weekend – 09/11/24
There’s a busy weekend ahead of staring at gameplay capture and trying to figure out what’s different and improved. My very first impression going from PS5 to PS5 Pro has been that Insomniac are wizards at blending art direction and graphics to get the most out of a console.
Has anyone else got a PS5 Pro in the house?
There’s a major contender for VR Game of the Year out now, with Metro Awakening’s launch. Tuffcub had a great time sneaking through the Moscow Metro system, that’s for sure.
Dom also had a review of one of the cutest little controllers you can imagine:
At the tail end of the week, we finally got our hands on with a PS5 Pro, and started down the path of a review and game comparisons with a PS5 Pro unboxing (with a very special guest star).
I also got to briefly go hands on with the top-down tactical shooter Project ARC, a smaller experiment from PUBG Studios.
Reuben got to sit down and chat about Ys and Trails Through Daybreak with Nihon Falcom’s Toshihiro Kondo.
Rounding things out as always, What We Played featured Slitterhead, Metro Awakening and PS5 Pro in general.
