At least one player has already reached the maximum possible character level in Diablo 4.
Blizzard‘s critically acclaimed action RPG is officially released today, but early access from June 1 was available to players who pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of the game.
In just that short time, as reported by PCGamesN, someone has already hit level 100, the game’s level cap.
YouTuber Rob2628 posted a video claiming to be the “world first level 100” earlier today, reaching the cap with his Barbarian character.
Rob took 54 hours and 29 minutes to reach level 100 (with only eight hours of sleep), most of which was spent playing in a group.

It’s claimed, however, that he reached the cap quicker by making use of an exploit in which if the lead player in a group leaves the party, the current dungeon the team is in can be quickly reset.
This mean Rob’s team was able to play the Champion’s Demise dungeon, which has numerous ‘elite’ monsters, over and over again, levelling him up quicker.
Despite the accomplishment, Rob still has work to do if he wants to get his name on a statue of the game’s antagonist Lilith.
Last week Blizzard announced a Diablo challenge that will see up to 1,000 players getting their names added to the statue, but in order to qualify they have to reach level 100 in Hardcode mode.
In this mode, players who die immediately have their character erased, meaning they have to start all over again from level 1.
The competition ends either when 1,000 players successfully provide proof of reaching Hardcore level 100, or by the end of September 1, whichever comes first.
