Ubisoft just unveiled a first gameplay look at Star Wars: Outlaws, and it seems that our first open-world action-adventure experience set in the galaxy far, far away is finally going to give us the freedom of exploration that we always wanted.
As you can see above, the gameplay starts by introducing us to Kay Vess, the Outlaws heroine who is being described as a younger version of Han Solo. She finishes a contract and then joins her robot pal on their ship, whereupon they take off to orbit. There, they fight off Imperial ships until Kay makes a hyperspace jump.
All of this happens seamlessly in real-time, which, at the very least, implies that Outlaws is going to be a vast open-world that you get to explore on the go.
Outlaws is coming out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC sometime in 2024.
