Dell and Lenovo's upcoming laptops featuring the Snapdragon X CPUs have leaked out, showcasing design readiness for the new AI PC entrant.
The AI PC era has taken every part of the tech industry by storm, with the influx of AI-oriented features targeted toward improving consumer experiences. At CES 2024, we did get a showcase of what to expect with the upcoming AI laptops, and it seems like all major companies will be hopping on board the Snapdragon X CPU bandwagon. Dell will be among the list of companies who will be offering the Snapdragon X-powered portfolio. We recently covered some designs in a previous leak here.
WindowsReport has disclosed that Dell soon plans on releasing their Inspiron 14 7441 Plus and the XPS 13 934 laptops, which are expected to feature up to the Snapdragon X Elite X1E80100 CPU, one of the fastest SKUs to launch soon. The chip features a 12-core count with a maximum frequency of 3.42 GHz.
The Dell Inspiron 14 7441 Plus laptop is expected to come with the new Windows 11 Preview Build, which will receive an "AI revamp", including a dedicated explorer and much more. Interestingly, the laptop will be released with 16 GB LPDDR5X memory as the base config, adhering to Microsoft's previously disclosed guidelines for the AI PC platforms.
The Dell Inspiron series has witnessed a more "slim look" with the newest iteration and comes with rounded edges for best portability. The laptop will also feature a dedicated Copilot key, which will be interesting to see, as it is indeed the first to feature it.
Apart from the Inspiron 14 7441, Dell also plans to release the new XPS 13 9345 laptop, which will be the top-notch professional laptop from the firm. It isn't confirmed whether the laptop will feature a Snapdragon X Elite SoC or an Intel Core Ultra
