Every so often, the gaming world has a monumental release that comes to define the industry. Whether that’s the continued dominance of GTA 5 to the point that Rockstar Games just recently confirmed active development on Grand Theft Auto 6, whether that’s Breath of the Wild 2 which has seen every open-world game since compared to it, or whether that’s Skyrim which has arguably had the longest-lasting impact on RPGs as a whole compared to anything else, big releases live on.
ForSkyrim, this has resulted in multiple re-releases, mods, comparisons, pop culture references, cosplay, art, crafting, and so much more. Skyrim’s impact on the immediate and related gaming industries is self-evident, and sometimes this leads to some nice surprises.

Craftsmen and Blacksmiths have often recreated various Skyrim weapons, and they always manage to impress. Redditor ninemarrow’s story differs a little bit, however. The Redditor recently showcased a legitimate steel-forged Daedric dagger in an antique store of all places. There’s no real story of how it got there or if the owners knew what it was, but it’s certainly a nice find while antique shopping.
As seen above, ninemarrow also posted a video of themselves wielding the Daedric Dagger replica. It’s clearly well-crafted and indeed looks identical to the ones found in game. Everything from the serrated edge to the unique, curved handle of Skyrim’s Daedric weapons manages to be a pinpoint recreation.
Of course, as Reddit does, the community had a good time with this discovery—as of this writing, it has over 7000 upvotes. Many reasonably question how it got into an antique store to begin with, especially
