Unlocking the Basculegion in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is one of the major steps in opening up the world to be explored, as this Pokemon is the key to traveling across water. However, one player has found a way to get across this early hurdle without the need of this specific mount, instead using the evolved form of one of the Pokemon series' funnier mascots in Bidoof.
The trick itself is a bit time-consuming in the grand scheme of things, so most Pokemon Legends: Arceus players may want to go ahead and learn to cross the water the normal way. Although, there could still be uses for players looking to capture some specific Pokemon without needing to advance the story, or see what happens when they manage to sequence break as a result of this new trick.
A Gen 5 Pokemon Legends Game Would Make a Lot of Sense
In the case of this new method for crossing the water, the player turned from Basculegion to a different water-type, the evolved Bibarel, making it a must-have partner to capture early in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. However, instead of just riding on top of the Bibarel, the player threw their Pokemon out onto the water and then jumped onto the Bibarel's back. By continuing to throw out and call back these Pokemon, the player was then able to make a movable bridge that eventually carried them across to a point where they could jump off and find themselves on dry land.
Similar tricks have also been discovered that can give players whole new levels of movement outside of anything Game Freak may have originally intended, such as using a Braviary to fly over Snowpoint Temple in Pokemon Legends: Arceus' Alabaster Icelands.
