Pokemon fans have been preoccupied with Legends: Arceus for almost a month now. This week, they were reminded that the hype train for Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl is a long way from stopping. The games' 1.2.0 update went live this week, and this morning Pokemon revealed the full patch notes for it. They include union room expansion, a colosseum feature, and bad news for any of you using illegitimate means to get certain Pokemon.
If you do have a few glitched Pokemon in your party or your boxes, then once you apply this latest update you will no longer be able to trade or battle with them. A deeper dive into the new update by Kaphotics on Twitter had shed a little light on what exactly that means, and how Pokemon is battling glitched monsters.

It has added something labeled a PokeDupeChecker. What that will do is check everywhere you keep your Pokemon in BDSP for any that have been cloned. Glitches that have since been fixed allowed players to easily clone their Pokemon when the games first launched. If you used those bugs and have any clones, they can no longer be traded with other trainers, nor will you be able to use them to battle against your rivals.
Speaking of which, the 1.2.0 update has also added a colosseum feature. You can enter the colosseum on the second floor of the Pokemon Center. There, you will be able to face off against other trainers under a variety of different rulesets. Pick how many Pokemon each of you can have, set a level cap, and decide whether your Pokemon will go one-on-one, two-on-two, or if you want to compete against each other in multi-battles.
