Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Get New Mythical Event
Sunday morning The Pokemon Company officially announced that the Pokemon franchise's next major releases would arrive in late 2022. Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will take Pokemon fans to a new region based on Spain, offering up the main series' first open world to explore. It's an occasion to celebrate and The Pokemon Company is doing just that. Starting today in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, a special limited-time mythical Pokemon event for a free Pokemon will be available.
Nintendo Switch Pokemon players will soon be able to acquire the mythical Pokemon Shaymin. There's nothing complicated about it. All Pokemon Brilliant Diamond andPokemon Shining Pearl players will have to do is access their game's Mystery Gift option. Shaymin will be available via a letter from Professor Oak and will go directly into players' collections. It may not be a very interactive mythical Pokemon event, but it's still a very nice reward.

As with all such legendary and mythical Pokemon events, the Shaymin availability will only be accessible for a limited time. Shaymin will officially unlock today, February 27, and will remain available through March 27th. A full month should be plenty of time for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl players to access their Mystery Gifts. Be wary of putting it off and forgetting, however. Time will run out faster than it feels like.
