Sky: Children of the Light celebrates the world’s oceans with their annual “Days of Nature” event. Starting May 27, Spirits and Sky Children will have to work together to aid Prairie Peaks against the darkness polluting its river. Not only that, but part of the in-game purchases will support the American Friends of The Ocean Cleanup. This association works to clean plastic and other types of waste from polluted waterways worldwide.
This heartfelt MMO was launched in 2019 by Thatgamecompany, an award-winning company for its enriching and soul-healing games. More than a game, Sky: Children of the Light is a social network built on shared values and centered around collaboration, adventure and connection. Players all around the world fly and work together to create a vast community in the kingdom above the clouds.
Throughout “Days of Nature,” Shard Eruptions will contaminate Prairie Peaks’ waters with their darkness. Spirits will help with a device that keeps the corruption from spreading downstream. Sky Kids’ job will be to capture the pollution, so it stops contaminating everything it touches. Also, a new type of Dark Creature will appear trying to prevent you from clearing the river. Work as a team with other players to aid the river and put a stop to this foul creature. Last year’s events will also be available on Sanctuary Island.
Exploring Prairie Peaks during the three-week event can get you currency to unlock in-game items. Among these, you can find a new mask, an ocean-themed scarf, Nature Wave-Touched Hair and the Nature Wave Pack. Besides the new items, you can also find past years’ classics, like the Nature School Cape, the Nature Turtle Pack and 2020’s Green Earth Cape.
Sky: Children of the Light is available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5 and mobile devices. If you want more information on “Days of Nature”, visit Thatgamecompany’s official blog. And don’t forget to check Hardcore Droid for other games, news and reviews.
