SILENT HILL: Ascension will be released on October 31st, as Genvid Entertainment and KONAMI announced today.
This is not a new traditional game in the revered horror franchise. Rather, it's an interactive streaming series where viewers will influence the story's development. It is modeled after Genvid's MILEs (Massively Interactive Live Events) technology already seen in the Facebook show Rival Peak, for example. Fans will be able to interact with SILENT HILL: Ascension through the Android and iOS streaming apps (already available for pre-registration) or with a desktop PC through the official website. Here's a brief overview of this unique experience, created with the help of Behaviour Interactive (Dead by Daylight) and Bad Robot Games.
The series follows multiple main characters from locations around the world tormented by new and terrifying monsters.
Lurking in the shadows, these monsters threaten to consume people, their children, and entire towns as they're drawn into the darkness by both recent murders and long-suppressed guilt and fears.
Join this immersive journey as your decisions shape the story, leading to gripping moments of redemption, suffering, or damnation.
