EA Sports FC Tactical releases early next year.

EA's hugely popular football/soccer series EA Sports FC--formerly known as EA Sports FIFA--is expanding into a new genre. EA has announced EA Sports FC Tactical, the franchise's first turn-based strategy game for mobile.
Set for release in early 2024, EA Sports FC Tactical will have more than 5,000 players from more than 10 of the biggest leagues, including Premier League, Serie A, and Bundesliga.
Matches are simulated, and players have the ability to use their turn to defend, attack, perform skill moves, and try shots on net. In terms of mods, the game supports online friendlies, ranked matches for players who want a little more intensity, and leagues.
There is also a training element to the game where users can send their players to practice skill moves and unlock traits to help them win on the pitch. There are customization options, too, allowing players to design stadiums, kits, and balls however they want.
This will presumably be a free-to-play game, so the game will surely have microtransactions in some capacity. EA's press release did not, however, mention any kind of Ultimate Team support.
Fans can pre-register for EA Sports FC Tactical on Google Play and the App Store.
There is already a mobile version of EA Sports FC 24, and it's doing very well so far, as is the main console edition of the game. This was the first year of EA's rebranded soccer series, following the company's high-profile breakup with FIFA.
