Conan Exiles ’ Age of War season has arrived at its conclusion with Chapter 3 now available across all platforms. This chapter offers several PvE challenges, including the ability to siege a Stygian fortress, and the ability to build and open up your own tavern.
To close out the season, this is an update that has a bit of a wide range. Not only does it continue some of the conflicts and offer some potentially satisfying siege opportunities against the Stygian forces, there’s much that is more community and social-centered. Introducing the ability to build a tavern as a feature is the representation of that goal.
The Funcom team described the decision to add taverns this way: “In fantasy, taverns and inns are often a nexus. They are a place where information, rumors, gold, and people converge and mingle in a chaotic dance of brimming potential..”
In order to set your own up, you’ll need to rescue a Zamorian Barkeeper from a purge camp, blending some of this season’s content. There will not be a barkeeper in every purge, so you might have to try a few times to pull off the rescue. Once you’ve got the barkeeper, then you can build a bar counter. Once business is open with some seating and your trusted barkeeper, here come the patrons. Some of them will even be open for work in exchange for gold. TAverns can grow to several stories high, and Funcom is also releasing furnishings and tavern decor items, including in the new Battle Pass.
