If Marvel plans to bring Scarlet Witch back into the MCU, it's absolutely critical that they do so at Comic-Con 2022. Scarlet Witch's MCU story began in 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in which the powerful mutant was introduced into the MCU. As opposed to the character's mutant nature from the comics, the powers of the MCU's Scarlet Witch are derived from the Mind Stone, due to the experimentations of Hydra's Baron Strucker.
After briefly acting as an antagonist, the MCU's Scarlet Witch quickly became a powerful member of the Avengers. It wasn't until Vision's death and the events of Wandavision that the character took a much darker turn, with Scarlet Witch acting as Doctor Strange 2's villain. After hunting America Chavez across the Multiverse, the Scarlet Witch was finally beaten by Doctor Strange, and ultimately chose to destroy both herself and the Darkhold at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

However, the character of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch is a key figure in the Marvel Universe, and it's likely that the MCU will want to bring her back somehow — but if this is going to be the case, Marvel needs to do so no later than at Comic-Con 2022. Scarlet Witch's arc already being given a satisfactory conclusion means that writing her back into the franchise is a time-sensitive issue. As Doctor Strange 2's ending seemed to bring the character's time in the MCU to a definitive end, bringing her back is something that needs to happen while there's still interest in seeing her return.
