Sim smash hit Satisfactory has sold more than five million copies to date.
That's according to the title's developer and publisher, Coffee Stain Studios, which announced before Christmas that the game had hit this sales milestone almost five years after its initial launch. Satisfactory was initially released into Early Access in March 2019.
In a video celebrating the milestone, community manager Snutt Treptow thanked the game's audience for being not only supportive, but welcoming to new players.
"I just want to wish you all the very best during the holidays and say thank you for all the support throughout the year," he said.
"Satisfactory has now been in Early Access for four years, almost five, and we wouldn't be where we are now if it weren't for all of you being there with us all this time. Seeing so many people still being just as active and supportive throughout the years, not only to us but to everyone in the Satisfactory community for so long is truly inspiring.
"Games aren't just a medium of entertainment they really do bring people together and I think you all have an amazing track record of sort of demonstrating this it's sort of unreal that so many people have come together to bond over our game and at the end of the day it's our community that makes the game truly come to life. So whether you're giving people tips and tricks on our forums creating or consuming content on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok... you name it, creating mods, posting screenshots of your business or making silly little memes on our Discord, thank you so much for being a part of this community making what it is today."
