Samsung's next Unpacked event, where it will probably announce the Galaxy S22 series and Tab S8, will happen online at 10 a.m. ET on Feb. 9, 2022, the company announced today.
Like last year's event, the 2022 reveal will be purely virtual. The Samsung Galaxy S20 event in mid-February 2020 was the last major in-person mobile announcement before the COVID crisis led to the cancellation of most in-person tech events.
The invitation doesn't reveal much about the device. The phrase "The Epic Standard" isn't much to go on, although the pink-purple color of the "S" was a color the S21 was offered in, and will likely also be a color for the S22 devices.
A teaser video released last week shows two phones merging into one, probably symbolizing the merger of the S and Note models.
We have a full rumor roundup for the S22 line. Last week, Samsung's mobile president TM Roh posted a blog implying that the company was folding the Galaxy Note line into the S22, with the S22 Ultra model having the Note's S Pen as a primary feature.
