iPhone 13 Pro Max vs Samsung Galaxy S22: A recent benchmark test highlights something surprising. Apparently, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is still faster than the latest Samsung Galaxy S22 series when it comes to performance metrics. In the latest Apple vs Samsung rivalry, Samsung had launched its Galaxy S22 series on Tuesday which saw it come out with Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The series included Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The company claimed it was the most powerful processor used by the company yet. However, a benchmark test has shown that it still might not be enough to overthrow iPhone 13 Pro Max’ performance metrics.
The performance benchmark tests were done by PCMag, which reported its findings yesterday. And according to the source, this result was not surprising as the “Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU lacks the raw processing power of Apple's A15 chip in the iPhone 13 Pro Max”. But what is truly surprising is that while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 launched more than 2 months after A15, it is still playing a game of catch up with the latter. As PCMag explains it, “while Qualcomm is making incremental steps forward on power, Apple is jumping ahead in leaps and bounds”.
Before we delve further into the discussion of processor speed and performance metrics of CPU and GPU, it is important to note that these benchmarks are only a small part of the entire smartphone infrastructure. And while heavy tasks like high-end gaming and video editing depend on them, most other tasks are often deferred to other systems. But, it is still interesting to see that the biggest bragging rights of performance metrics still lies with Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max instead of the 2022 flagship launch of Samsung Galaxy S22,
