iPhone 14 RAM capacity LEAKS! To beat Samsung Galaxy S22 this year
iPhones have always lacked the insane RAM capacity that Android flagships have enjoyed for years. The iPhone 13 Pro Max, which the is the best iPhone Apple currently makes, only has 6GB RAM. While Apple’s iOS 15 is highly efficient in terms of RAM management, the limited RAM often restricts several new features. Hence, Apple is now planning to increase the RAM capacity to the same amount as some of the 2022’s recent Android flagships, says a latest leaked report.
No, don’t worry Android fanboys. Your 12GB RAM toting Galaxy S22 Ultra isn’t getting beaten by an iPhone this year. However, those vanilla Galaxy S22 models with 8GB RAM could be seeing the iPhone 14 models match them this year in terms of RAM. Based on a leak, it is said that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with 8GB of RAM this year. This is the first time a high-end iPhone will have the same RAM as a high-end Android flagship.
The higher 8GB RAM paired with the faster A16 chip (expected to be called that) could make the iPhone 14 Pro models beastly smartphones. This is despite the current generation iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max setting benchmark charts on fire despite the renewed competition from Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
The inclusion of more RAM also hints at Apple bringing in more software features to the iPhone 14 Pro models. Apple offered 1TB variants of the iPhone 13 Pro models in 2021 for professional videographers to take advantage of the ProRAW video format.
