Some key details have leaked about Grand Theft Auto VI.
The leaker was apparently coming from Tiktok, and claims that their main source was the leak from over a year ago now. Obviously, we wouldn’t have direct links to anything, but their claims were posted on reddit here and here. And, we can’t vouch for the veracity of this information. The fact that these leakers chose to post this before Rockstar’s official trailer seems to indicate some level of confidence their information is accurate, but we’ll see.
Let’s get to the big one: Rockstar’s estimate for when Grand Theft Auto VI is coming out is Fall 2024. That goes with a huge caveat of, this assumes that there are no delays that comes up in between. Still, it certainly debunks the idea that Rockstar is still at an early stage of making this game. That’s definitely a huge relief for fans who were worried that Rockstar had spent the last decade only working on Grand Theft Auto Online and porting Grand Theft Auto V to different console generations.
The map is the crux of information our leaker has, and again, this is based on the build that got leaked over a year ago. With that in mind, if the information here is accurate, it would be hard to imagine that Rockstar can do that many changes to the size or layout of the map at this point.
The map will have three cities, as well as four sub-cities. Of course, sub-city isn’t a real word used in the real world of city building, and is just meant to suggest the size of each area. There will be other smaller areas surrounding these cities as well, and they are all centered around a large lake.
