AEW audiences might be focused on the company's upcoming pay-per-view with NJPW in Forbidden Door, but another card under the ROH flag might be following close behind. Numerous wrestlers who work for All Elite have spent time in Ring Of Honor — and all of those connections could make for a very interesting card if things end up unfolding in the right way.
On April 1st, ROH put on the Supercard Of Honor pay-per-view event, and it was one of the best-selling PPVs the company has orchestrated in quite some time. FTR beat The Briscoes for the ROH tag-team titles in an outstanding match, and that kickstarted their run as genuine top guys in AEW. Other contracted AEW talent, such as Swerve Strickland, Jay Lethal, and Wheeler Yuta, also populated the event, and Tony Khan's involvement as the owner of ROH will continue to serve as a bridge between the two federations.

Now, according to Fightful, "AEW talent (has been told) that the weekend of July 23 is targeted for ROH's return to PPV. As we've heard things so far, they've been told that ROH Death Before Dishonor will take place that weekend from Lowell, Massachusetts." Fightful also notes that NJPW "quietly" moved its date in Charolette from July 24th, which would have competed with ROH for attention, to July 17th.
Khan has continued to bloat AEW's roster to use some of those wrestlers on ROH, which could begin to come to fruition by mid-July. It remains to be seen just how many of Ring of Honor's pay-per-views Khan will be looking to bring back, but Death Before Dishonor is a show steeped in history and would be a great starting point for a summer full of PPV TV between ROH and AEW.
