Upcoming title RoboCop: Rogue City has received its very first gameplay trailer since its initial announcement at the 2021 NACON Connect event. Previously, not too many details were revealed about Nacon and Teyvon's RoboCop FPS, but fans are finally getting a glimpse at the game based on the '80s icon.
Since the initial release of the RoboCop film in 1987, multiple video game developers have created titles based on the franchise, from sidescrollers to mobile games. Although RoboCop hype may not seem as widespread as it once was, the character has been included in titles that are well-known for collaborations, such as Mortal Kombat, and more recently a Fortnite RoboCop skin was available in its Item Shop. A parody of RoboCop — called Brobocop — was also included in Broforce, a side-scrolling shooter that brought together various action movie icons. RoboCop: Rogue City is the first dedicated RoboCop title since 2014's mobile tie-in based on the poorly received remake, and the first set for a console release since 2003.

Nacon has finally released a gameplay trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City after a year of fans hypothesizing what the gameplay and story could possibly be about. The trailer offers a look at a crime-invested (and beautifully modeled) Detroit where the player is tasked with taking on the role of the cyborg RoboCop in order to protect the city and restore order. A year on from its announcement, RoboCop: Rogue City so far looks like an intense and immersive experience that will offer a fresh take on the franchise, boasting violent, first-person gameplay that sees the character wielding the iconic Auto-9 weapon from the 1987 film.
