Gameplay for the upcoming RoboCop: Rogue City released and showcased the titular character dispensing hard justice upon criminals using a variety of gory methods. RoboCop: Rogue City marks the cyborg's return to video games after a brief stint where RoboCop was a Mortal Kombat universe guest. In addition to RoboCop's signature pistol, gameplay featured a variety of creative environmental kills that perfectly complement the visceral gameplay the developers seem to be aiming for.
The trailer was short but featured some beautifully gory action to complement what little story was teased. What little story was given seems to primarily revolve around RoboCop as he combats a new crime wave in a futuristic depiction of Detroit. As he does so, RoboCop is seemingly confronted with images from his past as Alex Murphy that cause him to hesitate, allowing the bad guys to escape with what appears to be a large sum of money. What follows is a corporate-sanctioned massacre of the bad guys involved and seemingly promises a little insight into how the memories of Alex Murphy may be resurfacing in the emotionless killer that is RoboCop.

RoboCop: Rogue City's new, original story aside, the gameplay seems to capture the visceral brutality of Paul Verhoeven's classic very well, and even seems to be aspiring to dive into some themes addressed in the film as well. While the only weapon showcased in the trailer seems to be RoboCop's signature Auto 9 pistol, there seem to be many creative and brutal ways to dispatch the bad guys in dystopian Detroit.
