More Plunderstorm hotfixes have been pushed to live servers today which now also includes Rime Arrow and Faeform nerfs.
Evening Hotfixes
Here are the Plunderstorm hotfixes for the evening (6:48 PM PST)!
- Rime Arrow:
Rank 1: Cooldown unchanged at 10 sec - Rank 2: Cooldown increased to 8.5 sec (was 8 sec)
- rank 3: Cooldown increased to 7 sec (was 6 sec)
- Rank 4: Cooldown increased to 5.5 sec (was 4 sec)
Faeform:
- Damage reduction reduced to 50% for 1 second (was 90% for 3 seconds)
Afternoon Hotfixes
Here are the Plunderstorm hotfixes for earlier today (5:12 PM PST)!
- Fire Whirl damage nerfed at all ranks.
Rank 1: Damage reduced by 23.3% to 0.0575 of AP per tick (was 0.074) - Rank 2: Damage reduced by 21.4% to 0.0605 of AP per tick (was 0.077)
- Rank 3: Damage reduced by 21.4% to 0.0638 of AP per tick (was 0.081)
- Rank 4: Damage reduced by 21.8% to 0.0665 of AP per tick (was 0.085)
Stormproof Sloop now lasts 40 sec (was 60 sec)
Storm Winds now pierces immunities
Players are now immune to knockbacks when standing near Da’kash Grimledger in the preparation area.
Outfits are now retained between matches.
Blue Post
A blue post confirming these hotfixes is now live.
Today, with hotfixes that are all now live, we’ve made the following adjustments to offensive and utility abilities in Plunderstorm:
- Fire Whirl damage reduced by 20%.
Developers’ notes: we want to reign in Fire Whirl’s damage a bit more, so that it’s close to the performance of other offensive spells.
Faeform now provides a 50% damage reduction for the first 1 second you’re in Faeform (was 90%).
- Developers’ notes: Faeform offered too much defense without providing for counterplay.
Rime Arrow cooldown increased at higher ranks, and now has a cooldown of 10/8.5/7/5.5 seconds (was 10/8/6/4 seconds).
- Developers’ notes: Rime Arrow’s short cooldown made it a too-low-risk poke, often used to deny healing and chase fleeing targets. Increasing the cooldown at higher ranks will give targets more
