A new trailer has been released for Resident Evil Village VR Mode.
The trailer shows the game running in action on PlayStation VR2, which is due for release next week.
As well as a sizeable helping of gunplay, the trailer also shows the player performing some tasks in VR, such as looking at the map, using a key and playing a piano.
The trailer can be viewed below:
The new VR mode allows the player to play through the game’s entire story in VR, using the VR2 Sense controlelrs to let them feel vibration, recoil and resistance.
The mode is a free DLC add-on for players who already own Resident Evil Village or Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, and will be available to download on February 22, the day PlayStation VR2 is released.
The trailer also states that a demo will be available to download, for PS VR2 owners who don’t own a copy of Village.
PlayStation VR2 will launch on February 22 and will be priced at $549.99 / €599.99 / £529.99. For this, players get the PS VR2 headset, the PS VR2 Sense controllers and stereo headphones.
Sony confirmed last month that the PlayStation VR2 launch window line-up would consist of 37 games, with Horizon: Call of the Mountain and a VR version of Gran Turismo 7 available on day one.
Bloomberg sources recently claimed that Sony had halved its launch projections for PlayStation VR2 following disappointing pre-order numbers.
They claimed Sony’s shipment forecasts were cut from two million to one million units this quarter. In response, Sony issued a statement claiming it has “not cut PlayStation VR2 production numbers”.
