Hogwarts Legacy is a surprisingly replayable game, but the lack of a New Game+ option makes it somewhat less enticing for a significant part of its community who have gone on record to argue about the feature's necessity. The cosmetics and gear options in Hogwarts Legacy are vast, but given the sheer amount of robe and clothing variations that fans can come across during normal gameplay, it usually takes until the tail end of a playthrough for most players to be able to appreciate them on their Witch or Wizard.
From the sorting ceremony in Hogwarts Legacy, the playthrough already starts to split, and many players are no doubt curious about starting out as a different Hogwarts House, even if the only tangible difference in the story is the way the Jackdaw quest is resolved. In terms of gameplay, however, the House option plays a far more significant role, as it dictates the color scheme of several outfits found in the game, as well as a few broom models.

The request put forward by mrduds101 on the official Hogwarts Legacy subreddit echoes a growing sentiment in the game's community: Hogwarts Legacy sorely needs a New Game+ mode. While it's all fun and games to collect Demiguise statues for Gladwin Moon in one's first playthrough, or to complete all the Merlin trials found across the greater Hogwarts Valley and its surroundings, most players would prefer to skip – or at least be allowed to choose – which side quest content to repeat in future playthroughs.
At the very least, being able to enjoy the collected cosmetics from the get-go would be a welcome boon to any Hogwarts Legacy player, as no doubt they'd already have plenty of ideas to accessorize
